Part-Time Clinical Outreach Counselor

Job Opening Catholic Charities of the Diocese of New Ulm is seeking a Clinical Outreach Counselor (full- or part-time; approx. 16–24+ hours/week depending on hire). Responsibilities:

  • Manage a clinical caseload and conduct intakes, assessments, treatment planning, and therapy (child through adult individual, group, and family).
  • Provide educational presentations and workshops for parishes, schools, and community partners.
  • Offer assessments and support for marriage and re-marriage preparation.
  • Serve as a resource to diocesan Catholic schools and other youth programs throughout the diocese (consultation, short-term counseling, in-service trainings, and referral support).
  • Participate in and help advance diocesan mental health outreach initiatives to strengthen awareness, prevention, and parish support.
  • Respond to requests from Catholic schools and parishes; be available for crisis response as needed.
  • Travel to outreach offices, schools, and parishes within the diocese.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a related human service field
  • Appropriate Minnesota licensure (LICSW, LMFT, LP, LPCC, etc.) or status as a licensure candidate actively working toward full licensure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Compliance with Safe Environment program and Virtus training within 90 days
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and electronic medical records
  • Familiarity with Spanish and Latino cultures is a plus

Primary Service Area: New Ulm and Hutchinson, MN (with travel throughout the Diocese of New Ulm)

Benefits: As per organization policy Pay Range: $34–$38 per hour

Part-Time Physical Education/Health Teacher

Job Qualifications: St. Edward Catholic School in Minneota seeks a committed and faith-filled Physical Education/Health Teacher to join our team and help students develop healthy habits and an appreciation for physical wellness within a values-based environment. The candidate will teach engaging, age-appropriate lessons to students in grades PreK–8. This part-time position is ideal for a passionate educator who can foster a love of movement, fitness, and health in a Christ-centered school environment. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in physical education and health to students in grades PreK–8. • Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits. • Incorporate Catholic values and character education into teaching. • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. • Communicate with families and staff to support student development. • Track student progress and maintain accurate records.


Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Health, or a related field. • Knowledge of the Minnesota K–12 Academic Standards for Physical Education and Health or a willingness to learn. • Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.


Preferred Qualifications: • Valid Minnesota teaching license in Physical Education (710) and Health (080), or eligibility for licensure through the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). • Experience teaching in a PreK–8 setting. • Practicing Catholic in good standing (preferred but not required). • Ability to integrate faith and moral development into instruction.


Schedule & Compensation: • Part-time: Five days per week/half days.
