The Diocese of New Ulm’s Pilgrimage of Hope is an eight-day sacred journey on foot around the rural diocesan landscape. Young adult pilgrims will walk nearly 90 miles to designated Area Faith Communities (AFC) with Our Lady of the Prairie as intercessor. The pilgrimage will begin at the Cathedral in New Ulm following the rededication of the diocese to Our Lady of the Prairie by Bishop Chad W. Zielinski on June 22, the Feast of Corpus Christi, ending back at the Cathedral on the Solemnity of Saints Peter & Paul on June 29. The faithful are invited to walk alongside the pilgrims at their convenience and are encouraged to participate in the various AFC-hosted prayerful events. During this Jubilee Year of Hope and eight day pilgrimage, we invite Our Lady of the Prairie to intercede for the needs of our diocese and to lead us to her Son, Jesus in the Eucharist.
