FREELANCERS
The Prairie Catholic is seeking freelance writers and photographers. Writers will attend diocesan and parish events, conduct research, and write articles. Photographers will take photos of diocesan and parish activities using their own equipment. Both are responsible for submitting their work to The Prairie Catholic via e-mail by pre-established deadlines.
Freelancers will work for the diocese as independent contractors, not as employees. Payment rates for writers and photographers are listed here; mileage will be reimbursed at IRS rates. Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to travel in the diocese is a must.
Applicants should submit a letter of introduction, three samples of their work (individual articles or sets of photographs from photo shoots), and completed questionnaire for writers (found here) to Ms. Chris Clancy, Editor, The Prairie Catholic, at cclancy@dnu.org.
