Factory Farming in Minnesota Panel Discussion set for Sept. 20

ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Catholic Conference (the political voice of the Catholic bishops of Minnesota) is sponsoring a panel discussion of the social justice, environmental, and animal welfare impacts of factory farming in Minnesota on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Rauenhorst Ballroom in the Coeur de Catherine on the St. Paul Campus of St. Catherine University.

The evening's speakers will be Sonja Trom Eayrs (lawyer and farmer’s daughter), Colleen Carpenter (theology, St. Catherine University), Christina Meyer-Jax (nutrition science, St. Catherine University), Jeff Johnson (philosophy, St. Catherine University), and Chris Petersen (family pig farmer and socially responsible agriculture project associate).
