Special Ecumenical Prayer Service Held In Redwood Falls During Annual Week of Prayer For Christian Unity, Jan. 18-25, 2016

REDWOOD FALLS – Bishop John M. Levoir gathered with individuals and congregations, representing several Christian denominations in southwest and west-central Minnesota, for an Ecumenical Celebration of the Word of God on Sunday, January 24, at First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls. The service was held as part of the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This year’s theme was “Called To Proclaim the Mighty Acts of the Lord” (cf. 1 Peter 2:9).  During the worship celebration, an offering was collected for the Redwood Falls area Food Shelf.

Elona Street-Stewart, Synod Executive of the Synod of Lakes and Prairies (Presbyterian Church, U.S.A.) delivered the message, and worship leadership was provided by Redwood Falls area pastors, as well as the regional leadership of the Diocese of New Ulm, the Southwestern Minnesota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and the Presbytery of Minnesota Valleys, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
