The Office of Ecumenism promotes inter-denominational dialogue, offers support for parish efforts to reach out to people of other Christian traditions through mutual understanding and joint programs, and is a resource for information and guidance.

Upcoming Ecumenical Events:

This year, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity begins January 18th and ends with the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul on January 25th. Different denominations take turns hosting this prayer service on the diocesan level.

Each year has a theme. The theme for this year is "We Will Be Changed by the Victory of Our Lord Jesus Christ," which is referencing 1 Corinthians 15:51-58. You are encouraged to participate in the prayer service for Christian unity in your local area.

Let us all pray for Christian unity so that we may be cooperators in Jesus’ prayer for Christian unity.
