“Teaching Kids to be Responsible” topic of this year’s educator workshop

 

The annual New Ulm Diocesan Educator Workshop will be held for all Catholic Educators of the diocese on Monday, September 18, 2006, at St. Anthony School in New Ulm, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Bishop John C. Nienstedt will celebrate Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity for all in attendance and a catered lunch will be provided.

 

Day’s schedule includes mandatory annualSafe Environment Training

Mike Traverse, a Brown County social worker, will present a mini workshop in the morning on "Recognizing Signs of Abuse". This topic will fulfill the required annual Safe Environment Training for all diocesan educators in accordance with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Charter for the Protection for Children and Young People (Article 12).

 

Workshop’s Keynote

Keynote speaker for the day will be  nationally recognized instructor, Corwin Kronenberg who will present “Teaching Kids to be Responsible.”

 

Kronenberg is a highly sought after expert and speaker on the topics of self concept and discipline. He has presented to thousands of educators, paraprofessionals, and parents who give him excellent evaluations and standing ovations for his dynamic presentations.  He presents his topic with enthusiasm, drama, humor and credibility. 

 

Wayne Pelzel, diocesan Director of Schools, stressed the value of attendance. “Without a doubt you’re going to come away from this workshop saying it was well worth the time to come.
