Senior High Youth Rally October 29

The New Ulm Diocesan fall Junior High Rally and spring Senior High Rally have been switched due to the recommendation of the Diocesan Youth Council (DYC) members. Last spring the Senior High Rally came on the heels of nine proms throughout the diocese. Therefore, the two events have been switched in order to promote better participation and attendance.

This year’s Diocesan Senior High Youth Rally will be held on October 29. Youth from all over the diocese are invited to the Middle School in Fairfax, MN, for an afternoon of faith, friendship and fellowship. Keynote presentations will be given by Tammy Ann Winn, a singer-songwriter from Wisconsin and returning APEX Ministries performers Gene Monterastelli and Brad Farmer. Bishop John C. NCYC 2007: Columbus, OH

Next year, the New Ulm diocese is arranging a road trip by bus to Columbus, OH for the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) 2007. The actual event is November 8-10, however, plans are to leave November 6 and return on November 11. The cost will be approximately $450 per person. Watch for further details!

World Youth Day in Sydney, Australia - July 8 - 22, 2008

Bishop John C. Nienstedt will be leading a pilgrimage to World Youth Day in Australia in 2008. Pilgrims will be the guests of a diocese in New Zealand or Australia from July 10-14 and then participate in World Youth Day celebrations in Sydney July 15-20. The cost per person for this pilgrimage will be approximately $3,000.
