During this Year of the
Eucharist, all Catholics have been called to honor God’s gift of the Eucharist,
to receive it more faithfully, and to reflect more deeply on its meaning in
their lives and in the life of the Church.
Diocesan Celebration
As a way of recognizing the
close of the Year of the Eucharist, Bishop John C. Nienstedt has designated
Sunday, October 9, as the Year of the Eucharist Celebration in the Diocese of
New Ulm.
This family event, organized
by the diocesan Council of Catholic Women in conjunction with the diocesan
Office of Worship, will be held from
The celebration theme is “One
Body, One Spirit in Christ” - reminding us that the Eucharist ties every
parish, Area Faith Community, and cluster together with the diocesan and
universal church.
Celebration schedule
Nursery
open for children ages infant to
age 3
Jr. and Sr. High Youth -
gather at
shuttle available near church entrance
Exposition of the Holy
Eucharist and Holy Hour
for
Children ages 3-8 dismissed
for
age appropriate activities
and Sr. High Youth begin pilgrimage to Church
Youth Sharing
Procession followed by
Benediction
and Reposition
