Official appointments

 

The Most Reverend John C. Nienstedt has announced the following official appointments for the Diocese of New Ulm:

 

Pastors:

Effective July 1, 2004

Fr. Willam H. Bowles to retire from active ministry to the priesthood.

 

 

Diocesan Staff:

Effective July 1, 2004

Sr. Beth Ann Dillon, DSMP to serve as part-time Director of the Office of Religious Education.  She also serves part-time as the pastoral administrator intern at St. John, Searles. In June, Sr. Beth Ann completed her S.T.L. in Catechetics and Youth Ministry at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome and holds a Master degree in Educational Administration. Her pastoral experience includes parish and diocesan ministry, teaching and educational administration in the United States, Canada, and Italy.  This position will also work closely with the Consultant for Adult Faith Formation.

 

Ann Przybilla to serve as part-time Director of the Office of Worship.  She, her husband, Scott, and their five children recently moved to Tracy from Springfield, Illinois where she was the Director of Liturgy and Music and parish organist at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Ann holds a BA degree in Liturgical Music from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN. Her graduate studies continued in pastoral ministry at St. John’s School of Theology in Collegeville. Her position will also work with Directors of Liturgy and Music and those responsible for liturgy preparation and music on the parish level.  This includes providing for liturgical minister and RCIA team training, working with diocesan liturgical policies and guidelines, and advising parishes with church renovation or construction projects.

 

Jo Ann Borchert, who retired after 12 years as full-time diocesan Director of Religious Education and Adult Faith Formation, will serve as a part-time Consultant for Adult Faith Formation. She holds a Master degree in Pastoral Studies from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. This position will primarily focus on the identification and coordination of adult faith formation efforts in the diocese.  JoAnn will work with the Bishop Lucker Lecture and FOUNDATIONS, the Discipleship Formation Program which begins this fall. She will continue her work on the diocesan certification of catechetical leaders, assess the level of activity of Small Christian Communities, and identify parish programs and needs for adult faith formation.
