Jeremy Kucera ordained to the Diaconate for the Diocese of New Ulm

Jeremy G. Kucera, a seminarian preparing for the priesthood in the Diocese of New Ulm, was ordained to the Diaconate on June 8, 2003, at his home parish of the Church of the Holy Family, Silver Lake, MN, by Bishop John C. Nienstedt.

Jeremy is a 1995 graduate of Holy Trinity High School, Winsted, and a 1999 graduate of the University of St. Thomas majoring in Catholic Studies.

During his undergraduate studies, he spent a semester in Rome studying at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Jeremy is attending the Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity at the University of St. Thomas, where he will return for his final year of study in preparation for Ordination to the Priesthood in May, 2004.

During his internship, Jeremy served five months in Guatemala and seven months at St. Catherine’s in Redwood Falls. This summer, he interned at St. Philip’s in Litchfield where he will continue to serve as a deacon in addition to his studies at the St. Paul Seminary.
