Sr. Konrady celebrates 40th
Sr. Marlene Konrady, OSB, was honored for her 40th Jubilee as a Benedictine Sister of Mother of God Monastery of Watertown, SD, on Sunday, June 23, 2002, at St. Mary parish of Beardsley, MN. Sister renewed her vows at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Liturgy which was followed by a dinner and reception.
Sister Marlene is the fifth of 10 children born to the late Ernest and Mary Konrady, in Watertown, SD. She ministered in the Sioux Falls diocese for 36 years as a teacher at St. Marys in Aberdeen, and at Harmony Hill High School in Watertown. She then became a parish minister in Ramona, Oldham, Madison Newman Center, Florence, Waverly, Henry, Clark, Elkton, Auror, White, all of South Dakota. For the last 16 years of her ministry she has served as pastoral administrator of parishes and since 1998 she has been pastoral administrator at St. Mary parish in Beardsley.
