New Ulm diocese awarded $1,500 grant for Catholic Communications
New Ulm - The National Catholic Society of Foresters (NCSF) has awarded the Diocese of New UIm a $1,500 Catholic Communications Grant. The grant will be used to help fund English and Spanish Catholic radio programming.
Currently the New Ulm diocese sponsors Catholic Radio Weekly that airs weekly on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. on KNUJ-AM 860, New Ulm and 94.7 FM Country, Springfield; 5:30 p.m. on KLQP-FM 92.1 Madison/Dawson; and 11:30 a.m. on KDUZ-AM 1260, Hutchinson.
Tu Companero Católico, airs weekly on Sundays, 9:00 a.m. on KYSM -FM 103.5, North Mankato.; 7:30 a.m. on KDUZ-AM 1260, Hutchinson.
The National Catholic Society of Foresters, originally known as the Womens Catholic Order of Foresters, was organized in 1891 in Chicago to provide low cost life insurance coverage to women who seldom had such protection available to them. The society has grown to become a vital part of Catholic family life for many Americans.
