The Fall New Ulm Diocesan Senior High Youth Rally is scheduled for October 29, 2006, at GFW Middle School, 300 SE 1st Street, Fairfax, MN, from 1:00-7:00 p.m. The rally’s theme is “Light My Way” taken from Ps. 119:105 - “Your Word is a Lamp to My Feet and Light to My Path.”

This year’s rally will offer music, comedy, workshops, fabulous speakers, and break out sessions, all in a new and kid-friendly format. Bishop John C. Nienstedt will celebrate Mass with participants. Snacks and lunch will be provided. Registration opens at 12:00 noon.

Day’s presenters

For the first time ever, we have the opportunity to welcome “three” presenters: APeX Ministries’ Brad Farmer and Gene Monterastelli; Tammy Ann Winn and her band; as well as Catholic Answer’s Christina King.

Presenter Christina King is a chastity/abstinence speaker from Wrightstown, WI, and founder of “Pure Freedom:. Her message centers on the virtue of chastity and God’s perfect plan for young lives. During her presentation she will use actual experiences and consequences to stress the importance of purity. Her original life-changing message has helped thousands of teens take control of their lives - physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. King will also lead a break-out session for adults entitled “Guiding the Teens We Love.” For more information on King’s ministry visit: www.champions-of-the-truth.com/king/body_index.html

APeX Ministries’ Gene Monterastelli and Brad Farmer return to our diocese by popular demand. Their presentation includes juggling acts, humor, storytelling and personal testimony. For more information on their ministry visit: www.apexministries.com

Tammy Ann Winn is a singer-songwriter from Wisconsin. She recently returned from a mission trip to Kenya and will share some of her experiences along with her music. For more information on her ministry, visit: www.tammyannwinn.com

The Diocesan Youth Council, the Rally Planning Committee, and the Youth Ministers of the diocese encourage all youth grades 9-12 to come and gather with youth from around the diocese.
