Another Area Faith Community Plan implemented in diocese

 

As part of the implementation of the New Ulm Diocesan Plan for Parishes, Bishop John C. Nienstedt is pleased to announce the approval of the Clements, Lamberton, Morgan, Sanborn,and Springfield Area Faith Community Plan.

 

Region 2:

Church of St. Joseph, Clements; Church of St. Joseph, Lamberton; Church of St. Michael, Morgan; Church of St. Thomas, Sanborn; and Church of St. Raphael, Springfield

 

Word

-  Develop an awareness of the Catholic Schools

-  Collaborate on youth activities and religious  education programs

-  Provide common adult faith formation

-  Form an Area Education Committee

 

Worship

- Conduct common planning for major liturgical  seasons and events

- Collaborate on liturgical ministry training

- Promote shared liturgical celebrations

- Foster and promote a liturgical education program

 

Service

- Establish an Area Social Concerns Committee

- Determine the social concerns efforts of each parish’s organizations

- Determine the outreach needs in the area

- Expand services available to those in need

 

 

Stewardship

- Form an Area Pastoral Council

- Share personnel, collaboration of volunteers, and maximize purchasing power

- Develop communication mechanisms
