Knights of Columbus gather for annual Supreme Council Meeting

 

The 123rd Annual Supreme Council Meeting of the Knights of Columbus was held in Chicago, IL, this past August. The Convention opened with a concelebrated Mass by several Cardinals from throughout the world, Archbishops and Bishops throughout the world, (including Bishop John C. Nienstedt from the Diocese of New Ulm) and many State Council Chaplains. 

 

Along with Bishop Nienstedt, also in attendance from Minnesota were: State Deputy Larry and Kathy Mottl, State Chaplain Rev. Steven Daigle of the Duluth diocese, Immediate Past State Deputy Willard and Barb Strand, State Secretary H. Eugene and Gloria Hippe,  State Treasurer Ricardo and Cathy Acevedo, State Advocate Jim Terwedo, State Warden Craig and Mary Jo Larson, State Administrative Assistant Greg and Linda van der Hagen, Vice Supreme Master John and Shirley Bachand, Gary and Sharon Maus, Jim and Ruth Larson, Robert and Regina Wernimont, Gerald and Marian Gehling, Jim Hurt, and the David and Pauline Novak Family.

                                                  

David and  Pauline Novak and family were named the 2005 International Knights of Columbus family of the year.  David is a member of Faithful Shepherd Council #7604, Eagan, MN.

Minnesota was very proud to have Bishop Nienstedt join us at the convention and States Dinner”, stated Greg van der Hagen, Minnesota KC Administrative Assistant.
