Holy Rosary, North Mankato vacation bible school a “wild adventure”!

North Mankato, MN - The smiling faces, grades 1-5  (pictured right) are actually the monkeys. zebras, elephants, lions, and giraffes who went on the “Serengeti Trek” which took place at the Holy Rosary parish, North Mankato vacation bible school this past summer.

A few of their adventures included: learning about Daniel in the Lion's Den, feasting on peanut butter-filled celery logs, making a special tribal necklace, playing Gideon's Tag, watching how Chadder the Chipmunk 'saved the day' & got the medicine to the compound, and singing with the "roar of the king of the jungle" to thank and praise the "King of the Universe"! All participants returned home tired, but safely from their safari with love in their hearts, understanding in their minds, exercise for their legs, and the music of love and laughter in their souls.

Serengeti Trek's lead guides were Sue Cashman, Anne Richardson, Kevin Mettler, Paul Ahearn, and the Holy Rosary Youth Group.  Team guides were: Julie Kelling and Karynn Fette.
