Children's Holy Field Trip

New Ulm, MN - Catholic school children in the New Ulm diocese will gather in prayer with Bishop John C. Nienstedt on Thursday, October 6, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, New Ulm for the second "Children's Holy Field Trip."  The event, honoring our Lady of Fatima, unites children together in prayer for families and life. The children will pray the rosary and honor the Blessed Sacrament with Exposition, Benediction and Divine Praises.  The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus will also be involved in the event.

Last year, the first year it was held in the diocese, over 500 people gathered at the Cathedral.  The event had its beginning in 2003 in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.  Planned in conjunction with the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, the event has spread to dioceses throughout the nation. Schools traveling to the event schedule other activities on this day such as tours of the Cathedral, the Diocesan Pastoral Center and Way of the Cross.
