Annual
youth festival this month!
six grade youth invited to
join in the fun!
by Sr. Margaret McHugh
Director of Youth Ministry
Sixth graders, this is your
chance to shine! The Junior High Rally
is opening its doors to sixth graders for the first time. All 6-8
grade youth are invited to attend this year’s rally October 24, 1-7:00 p.m. at
the Hutchinson Senior High School, Hutchinson, MN.
This is an opportunity to
join other kids from all over the diocese for this awesome annual event. Registration begins at 12:30. There will be a
drawing for prizes at 7:00 p.m., so make sure you stay till the end! Last year’s festival had over 720 kids
participating and we expect even more this year. So get your registration in early!
Our two keynote speakers,
Orin Johnson and Shannon Cerneka are both great
Catholic musicians who entertain with humor.
Bishop Nienstedt
and many other priests will be celebrating Sunday Mass with us. The Diocesan Youth Council members and the
National Evangelization Team (NET) will help keep things moving throughout the
afternoon.
This year for the first time,
we’ll have a Prayer Room with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Designated “Prayer Warriors” will be praying
for you and your needs. Although this
will be a silent sacred space, you are welcome to stop in and spend a minute
with the Lord. A box or a book will be
available for you to jot down any prayer requests.
I look forward to seeing you there! What a great way to celebrate our faith and have fun together as young people of the New Ulm diocese!
