Official appointments

 

The Most Reverend John C. Nienstedt has announced the following official appointments for the Diocese of New Ulm:

 

Effective July 1, 2004

Rev. Jeremy G. Kucera to serve as associate pastor of  Holy Redeemer, Marshall.

 

Effective August 1, 2004

Rev. Andrew J. Michels to serve as parochial administrator of St. Eloi, Ghent, while remaining pastor of St. Edward, Minneota and Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Taunton.

 

Effective September 20, 2004

Rev. Eugene L. Lozinski to serve as Chancellor of the Diocese of New Ulm, while remaining pastor of St. Pius X, Glencoe.

 

Rev. Todd J. Petersen to serve as parochial administrator of St. Philip, Litchfield, while remaining pastor of  Japanese Martyrs, Leavenworth, sacramental minister of  St. Paul, Comfrey and diocesan Director of Vocations.

 

Diocesan Staff

 

Effective September 15, 2004

 

Sr. Margaret McHugh, DSMP to serve as the Director of Youth Ministry and Vocation Awareness.  She recently concluded studies in Theology and Youth Ministry at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome, serving an internship at the Basilica of San Giuseppe Trionfale and receiving a diploma in Educational Communication.  Sister also has a teaching degree and license. Her pastoral experience includes over twenty years as a catechist and youth minister including a recent experience in a bi-lingual (Spanish-English) parish in Chicago.  Sister Margaret will work with diocesan youth events (rally, festival, NCYC, World Youth Day), ministry training, supporting parish youth ministry, and promoting vocation awareness through area "vocation fairs" and similar activities.
