Advent
Prayer Service in Fairfax and Benson parishes
All children and families of the Diocese of New Ulm are invited to join Bishop John C. Nienstedt in a special Advent Prayer Service to help us focus on the true meaning of Christmas.
Services will be held:
December 4, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of St. Andrew, 15 SE 1st Street, Fairfax; and on December 18, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at the Church of St. Francis, 508 13th Street North, Benson.
Blessing of the Baby Jesus:
Participants are asked to bring the Baby Jesus figure from their home manger scene for Bishop Nienstedt to bless during the service.
In keeping with the generosity of the Advent season,
families are invited to bring “swaddling clothes” in the form of baby sleepers,
layette items or blankets. These will be donated to the Diocese of New Ulm
Mission Parish in San Lucas Toliman,
