Nominations sought for 2005 Diocesan Distinguished Service Award

 

For the past forty-five years, the Diocesan Distinguished Service Award (DDSA) has been presented to members of the diocese who have given outstanding service to the Diocese of New Ulm over a period of years. There have been over one hundred recipients of the award.

 

This year, up to five awards will be presented at the Bishop Lucker Lecture on March 3, 2005, at St. Mary Church in Willmar .

 

Nominations can be submitted based on the following criteria:

 

- Outstanding service exercised in some leadership capacity such as service on a diocesan council or committee, in a diocesan   organization, or as a member of the Diocesan Center staff;

 

- The diocesan service has been performed over a number of years;

 

- The person has served as a living witness to the Diocesan Mission Statement;

- The person has nurtured leadership and encouraged growth among the members of the diocesan community.

 

Nominations must be received by January 1, 2005 .
