Living rosary commemorates Respect Life Sunday
New Ulm - The Council of Catholic Women commemorated Respect Life Sunday by sponsoring a Living Rosary at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity courtyard in New Ulm on October 5, 2003.
Great grandparents to young children joined in praying the Luminous Mysteries on a beautiful sunny 70 degree day. All gathered in a circle of love, hope and faith, praying for only twenty minutes in powerful pleas lifted in worship for the love of life.
The Luminous Mysteries, established recently by John Paul II, illuminated lives with stories of Christs life. With a candle in hand, and a hopeful heart, prayer was lifted up for the mothers, doctors and others involved in the death of millions of babies who have been aborted. Prayers were offered for the sanctity of all life, from the unborn, to those who are fragile or near their heavenly call, and for the gift of all life.
