Resources available to faith sharing groups
by JoAnn Borchert
As fall settles and the evenings get longer there are groups of people who want to gather to share faith.
Many RENEW 2000 faith sharing groups wish to continue to meet. Others may wish to form a new group. These groups gather for prayer, support in their faith journey, reflection, learning, and mission. As stated in the United States Catholic Conference of Catholic Bishops document, Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us, one of the concrete approaches to adult education is to gather in small groups.
As an effort to assist these Small Christian Communities, (faith sharing groups), the Diocesan Office of Religious Education and Adult Religious Education has developed a listing of suggested Resources for Small Christian Communities. Copies have been sent to parishes throughout the New Ulm Diocese.
Anyone interested in obtaining a copy should contact their pastoral leader.
