Fr. Hayden dies at age 75

Reverend Ralph W. Hayden, 75, died on Saturday, October 20, 2001.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, October 24, 2001, at the Church of St. Anne, Le Sueur, MN, with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Le Sueur.

He was born August 7, 1926, in Le Sueur, MN, and was ordained at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm on May 30, 1964 by Bishop Alphonse J. Schladweiler. He served as associate pastor at St. Mary, Sleepy Eye; St. Peter, St. Peter; and St. Catherine, Redwood Falls. Father Hayden served as pastor at Visitation, Brighton; St. Nicholas, Middle Lake; St. Aloysius, Olivia; St. Michael, Gaylord; St. Francis de Sales, Winthrop; St. Brendan, Green Isle; St. John-Assumption, Faxon Township; and Sacramental Minister to St. Thomas, Jessenland. He also served as Chaplain at Loretto Hospital in New Ulm.

Father Hayden retired from active ministry on August 8, 1996, and had been living in

Le Sueur, MN, since his retirement.
