Let your talents shine through National CCW

God created us in His own image and likeness, blessing each of us with many gifts and talents. The beauty of this creation was that He gave each of us the freedom of choice to decide which of His gifts we want to use in our lives.

Unfortunately, most of us pass through life without appreciating all that God has given us. In one of his newspaper articles, Dr.Vincent Kituku, an associate member of the Catholic Press Association, indicates that millions of talents and gifts come and go from this world, packaged within people who never used them.

The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) continue to challenge Catholic women to develop their talents and gifts by becoming involved and taking advantage of the wide variety of opportunities offered through CCW, such as parish sponsored programs and service projects, diocesan leadership training programs, speakers at region CCW gatherings, and the annual diocesan convention.

Women are also encouraged to go beyond their local parishes or dioceses and attend the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) Convention and General Assembly where they can participate in Eucharistic Liturgies, hear speakers addressing current issues in the Church and society, and interact with Catholic women from all areas of the country.

Last September, a membership campaign was launched by the National Council of Catholic Women with "Join Us, Be Counted" as the theme. Besides having our councils as affiliate members, Catholic women around the country were encouraged to join as individual members of NCCW. This was an opportunity for individuals to support NCCW's mission and its programs while continuing to be part of that united voice of Catholic Women through local CCW groups.
