Knights recognize area member for 50 yrs. of service

 

Gaylord, MN - Congratulations to Arnold Berdan of Winthrop, MN on reaching his 50 year milestone as a member of the Knights of Columbus.

 

It was in 1957 that Berdan became a 3rd Degree Knight in New Ulm. In 1976, he transferred to St. Michael's Knights of Columbus Council No. 7051 in Gaylord, MN. 

 

Berdan is a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus St. Peter Assembly and is a Life Honorary Member of the Knights of Columbus Order. Through the years he has served as recorder, treasurer, financial secretary, Deputy Grand Knight, and Grand Knight and council trustee. He has dedicated many hours not only with his duties in the officer roles of the Council but also has been very involved in the many programs and very dedicated with volunteering his time. He's been involved in the many fraternal programs, fund raisers, youth activities, and whatever the Council is involved with. 

Berdan joins two other St. Michael's K of C members - Don G. Pinske Sr., Honorary Life Membership and 57 years K of C membership, and the late Fr. Richard G. Bonin, St. Michael's Council Chaplin and Honorary Life Membership and 63 years K of C membership.
