Official Appointments

Bishop John C. Nienstedt has announced the following Official Appointments in the Diocese of New Ulm.

Rev. Michael M. Doyle to the Area Faith Community of Redwood Falls and Morton as pastor of St. Catherine Church, Redwood Falls and sacramental minister of St. John Church, Morton.

Rev. Jeffrey P. Horejsi to the Area Faith Community of Willmar, Spicer, Regal, Kandiyohi and Lake Lillian as pastor of St. Patrick Church, Kandiyohi and St. Thomas More Church, Lake Lillian.

Rev. Paul A. Schumacher to the Area Faith Community of Appleton, Dawson and Madison as pastor of St. John Church, Appleton, and St. Michael, Church, Madison as well as sacramental minister to St. James Church, Dawson.

Mr. Wayne Pelzel, Sleepy Eye, MN, has accepted the position of Diocesan Director of Catholic Schools. Pelzel has a long history of Catholic educational experience as Elementary Principal of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Sleepy Eye. Because of a 2005 accreditation renewal, he will split his time for one year in both jobs so as to provide a smoth transition for St. Mary’s.

Rev. Mr. Jeremy G. Kucera will be ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of New Ulm on June 12, 2004, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Kucera is the son of Gerald and Luanne Kucera of Silver Lake, MN.
