Tony Noga of Glencoe receives Boy Scout Eagle Award

Tony Noga, son of Dan andRhonda Noga of Glencoe and grand-son of Leonard and Gertrude Noga also of Glencoe, received his Eagle Award on Sunday, February 16, 2003, at St. Pius X Church, Glencoe, during the Eagle Ceremony. Tony is a member of Boy Scout Troop 352 under the guidance of Scoutmaster, Randy Thomas.

For his Eagle project, Tony had to plan, organize, and complete a community service project. He chose to scrape, prime, and repaint the window frames, door trim, and shed at the St. Pius X Church and completed his project with the help of fellow scouts from his troop.

Tony is a Senior at Glencoe/Silver Lake High School where he is active with the choir and the football, basketball, and baseball teams. He has been an active member of the Church of St. Pius X where he is a Mass server and a member of the church choir and youth group. Tony has also been employed by the local grocery store for the past 3 1/2 years.

Tony began his scouting career as a first grader in 1991, where he became a Tiger Cub. He became a Boy Scout as a fifth grader in 1995 and has held positions in the troop such as Assistant Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. He has enjoyed many trips to "Many Point" scout camp. In the tenth grade, Tony received his Order of the Arrow Award.

In the fall, Tony plans to attend college in Fargo, ND.
