Plan for parishes regional consultations continue

Four regional meetings have been scheduled for parish leaders to dialogue with Bishop John C. Nienstedt and the Committee on Parishes about the latest draft of the Plan for Parishes, 2003 -2008.

Each parish or mission will be represented at the meetings by a pastor or pastoral administrator, a representative from the Parish Pastoral Council, and a representative from the Finance Council. The new draft incorporates changes and recommendations that surfaced from January parish meetings.

After these meetings have concluded, further revisions will be made by the Committee on Parishes and a final draft of the Plan will be proposed to the Priests’ Council and the Diocesan Pastoral Council in the fall. These groups would then recommend the final Plan for approval by Bishop Nienstedt. When approved, the Plan will be published in The Prairie Catholic.
