CCW is now part of the World Wide Web!

by Lila Schmidt

The goal for New Ulm Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Organization Commission was to be a part of the World Wide Web. This goal has become a reality! We now have our own web site where information relating to the Council of Catholic Women can be obtained. Visit www.nudccw.org.

This goal serves as just another tool CCW can use in our councils. The Council of Catholic Women organization still works the wheel by passing on information usually by phone or writing and mailing reports, etc. Now every woman in the diocese with access to the Internet can keep up to date with the Council of Catholic Women because the NUDCCW Newsletter has been incorporated into the web site. This means that each parish CCW President, who would normally have to spend her time making copies for her members, will now have several options available to her as far as distribution:

1.) Members with Internet access would not need a copy but rather view it on-line;

2.) Rather than go to a copy machine and make copies of the Newsletter - she can print it off the web site to her home printer; and

3.) Seek out a parish volunteer to make copies off the internet if she does not have access to a computer.

The use of e-mail wherever possible in place of postal mail is another part of this Organization Commission goal.

The Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Organization Commission encourages you to "surf" the Internet and check out what’s happening on the Council of Catholic Women web site!
