Hutchinson native ordained at Notre Dame University
Sean D. McGraw, C.S.C. was ordained a priest in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of Notre Dame University on April 21.
Father McGraw, a native of Hutchinson, currently teaches history at Notre Dame High School in Niles, IL, and assists at St. Paul of the Cross parish in Park Ridge, IL.
Father McGraw earned his Master of Divinity degree at Moreau Seminary in May 2000. He will celebrate mass at St. Anastasia Church in Hutchinson on June 3 at 11:00 a.m. Father McGraw is the son of Ron and Kathleen McGraw of Hutchinson.
The Congregation of the Holy Cross was founded in 1837. Today the order has more than 1700 priests, brothers and seminarians. The orders charism is be "educators in the faith" and its motto is "The cross, our hope".
