Youth to gather next month for annual Jr. High Festival

Marshall, MN - The annual New Ulm Diocesan Junior High Festival (for grades 6-8) will be held on Sunday, April 15 at the Marshall Middle School in Marshall, MN. This annual event is expected to draw at least 600 youth from all around the diocese.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. Lunch and Sunday Mass with Bishop John C. Nienstedt will be part of the day.

“We’ve changed the time of the festival to begin at 10:30 a.m. instead of the usual 1:00 p.m. This year’s schedule will make it easier for people who have a long way to drive,” said Sr. Margaret McHugh, diocesan Director of Youth Ministry.

Keynote speaker will be Catholic singer-songwriter, Kara Klein whose music will address issues such as pro-life and chastity. Klein has been featured on television and radio and has performed concerts for teens and adults across the country.
