Riverbend TEC marks 25th anniversary!

Get ready to celebrate! Riverbend TEC will be 25 years old. To honor this milestone, a very special gathering is being planned, and you are invited to join us as we celebrate twenty-five years of Encountering Christ! Share your faith stories, renew friendships, and pray together in celebration of the presence of the Paschal Mystery in our lives.

We will be gathering on Sunday, April 28, 2002, from 2-9:00 p.m. at Loyola High School in Mankato, MN. There will be a Liturgy at 3:00 p.m. followed by a sit down and share in an Agape meal at 5:00 p.m., taking some time to "remember when….". We will close with a slide show and prayer at 8:00 p.m. If you have participated in TEC, you are welcome to join us.

Riverbend TEC (Together Encountering Christ) is part of youth ministry of the Diocese of New Ulm. Riverbend TEC began in the Diocese of New Ulm with the approval of Bishop Raymond A. Lucker in April of 1977. The name Riverbend was chosen because the Minnesota River is such a dominant geographic feature in the Diocese of New Ulm.

Riverbend TEC has seven weekend retreats each year, enjoying the hospitality of Cathedral in New Ulm, St. Mary in Bird Island, and Holy Trinity in Winsted. The weekends are open to anyone 16 years of age or older. Almost 6,000 youth and adults have attended a Riverbend TEC over the past 25 years.
