Bishop Nienstedt presides at NUACS

The students of NUACS (St. Anthony Elementary, Holy Trinity Middle School, Cathedral High School) in New Ulm attended the NUACS Mass held in the Cathedral High School gym on Friday, Jan. 30 as part of the annual celebration of Catholic Schools Week. Bishop John C. Nienstedt was the celebrant, assisted by Fr. John Richter, pastor of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity; Fr. Douglas Grams, pastor at St. Marys, New Ulm; Fr. Samuel Perez, associate pastor at Cathedral; Deacon Mark Steffl, and Fr. James Moran, a retired priest of the diocese.The NUACS All-Schools Mass celebration included a procession of CHS seniors and their first grade partners. Students from various NUACS schools did the readings and petitions at Mass, and the CHS Liturgy Club Choir with sophomore Kyle Ubl as the keyboard accompanist led the singing. A special K-8 Choir sang the Communion Meditation. A CHS instrumental sextet performed the processional hymn.
