Catholic Daughters of the Americas National Convention July 16-21

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA), one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas, will hold its 51st Biennial National Convention in Minneapolis, MN, from July 16-21, 2006. Women of Faith and Vision is this year’s convention theme. Eight-hundred are expected to attend, including national, state and local officers, members, guests, clergy, spouses and friends. A very special group from the Knights of Columbus, the "brother" organization that formed the CDA over 100 years ago, is also anticipated. Delegates from 45 states, and Puerto Rico, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Guam, and the Virgin Islands will vote to elect new national leaders.
