‘Spring fling’ in Winsted raises close to $38,000
students help make it happen!
Winsted’s Church of the Holy
Trinity’s annual spring fling auction took place April 23 in the school gym.
The "Treasure Island" auction made a profit close to $38,000, which made
it the third best in Holy Trinity’s 20 year auction history.
Holy Trinity students
supported their school fundraiser by setting up the gym and donation tables,
serving the meal, and cleanup. Several students helped present the live auction
items to the guests as the auctioneer for the evening, Fred Radde
of Watertown, kept the audience bidding.
The emcee for the evening was
Tom Ollig. He and Jeff Campbell, both graduates of
Holy Trinity, also entertained the audience with a pirate skit, and then ended
the evening singing "Goodnight Sweetheart."
