The Most Reverend John C. Nienstedt has announced the following official appointments
for the Diocese of New Ulm:
Effective June 1, 2005
Reverend Douglas L. Grams appointed episcopal vicar
for the diocese, while remaining pastor of the Church of St. Mary in New Ulm,
vicar general, Director of Priest Personnel and Bishop’s Delegate in Matters
Pertaining to Sexual Misconduct.
Reverend Gerald S. Meidl appointed episcopal vicar
for the diocese, while remaining pastor of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in
Marshall.
Reverend Joseph A. Steinbeisser appointed episcopal vicar
for the diocese, while remaining pastor of the Church of St. Mary in Willmar.
Effective June 30, 2005
Reverend Frederick T. Fink to retire from the active ministry.
Reverend Bernard J. Steiner to retire from the active ministry.
Effective July 1, 2005
Reverend Patrick L. Casey appointed sacramental minister of the Church of St.
Gertrude in Forest City, while remaining pastor of the Church of St. John in
Darwin.
Reverend Jeffrey P. Horejsi appointed parochial administrator of the Church of Our
Lady of the Lakes in Spicer and the Church of St.
Anthony in Regal, while remaining
Reverend Revocatus Mwakera appointed
parochial administrator of the Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth
and sacramental minister of the Church of St. Paul in Comfrey.
Reverend Todd J. Petersen appointed pastor of the Church of St. Brendan in Green
Isle and the Church of St. John-Assumption in Faxon
Township, while remaining Diocesan Director of Vocations.
Reverend Anthony J. Stubeda appointed parochial administrator of the Church of St.
Patrick in Kandiyohi and the Church of St. Thomas
More in Lake Lillian.
Sister JoAnn Backes, OSB, appointed
pastoral administrator of the Church of St. Paul in Comfrey.
Ms. Kathleen Landreville appointed pastoral administrator of the Church of St.
Gertrude in Forest City.
Sister Donna Wermus, SSND appointed pastoral administrator of the Church of the
Holy Redeemer in Renville.
Reverend Paul H. van de Crommert, appointed sacramental minister of the Church of the
Holy Redeemer in Renville while continuing to serve as pastor of the Church
of St. Aloysius in Olivia.
