65 years of Daughters of Isabella gatherings

The Daughters of Isabella 65th State Convention was held in Paynesville, MN April 4-6 2003. The Local St. Elizabeth Circle #1173, hosted the Convention with special guest, international director Pat Blaszak of Chicago, IL, Sen. Michelle Fischbach and Rep. Scott Fischbach of Paynesville. Friday night there was a memorial Mass for deceased members of each local circle followed by a reception. On Saturday the business meeting was held followed by Mass, a banquet and installation of officers. Those elected for the next two years are: State Regent Mary Kunstieben, Paynesville; State Vice Regent, Beverly Voigt, St. Cloud; State Secretary, Delora Van Eyll, Waconia; State Treasurer, Mary Ann Chladek, Paynesville; State Auditors, Hortense Walz, Melrose, Bonita Kloskowski, Cloquet, and La Donna Reisdorf, St. Cloud.

The Outstanding Daughters award went to Marcella Lieser of Paynesville for her work in the community and church. Marcella was a member of St. Elizabeth Circle #1173 in Paynesville.

The Convention concluded on Sunday with a brunch and completion of the business meeting. The 2004 State Conference will be held in Litchfield with Marion Circle #931 as host.
