Herbeck to speak at Catholic Family Bible Camp

by Jan Crowe

The Catholic Family Bible Camp, a yearly event in the New Ulm diocese, will again be held the first weekend in August (3-5) at Lake Koronis Assembly Grounds, south of Paynesville, MN. The camp is for the entire family - from babies to grandparents. There will be childcare for the younger children, classes for grade school children, and youth ministry and music for the teens.

Bible camp speaker, Peter Herbeck’s walk began early as an active young teen youth leader. Graduating from a New Ulm high school, he continued his education at St. Thomas University with a B.A. in Philosophy and a M.A. in Theology from Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, MI. Presently, Peter serves as Director of Missions for Renewal Ministries, a Catholic Ministry dedicated to promoting the new evangelization and personal renewal through conferences, rallies, retreats, publications, and television programming located in Ann Arbor, MI.

Peter will thrill his camp listeners with stories of thousands coming forward to be healed in Central and Eastern Europe and Africa. He has traveled extensively proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Much of his work has been dedicated to helping equip Catholics for ministry through training in the exercise of spiritual gifts.

The camp will open on Friday, August 3, 5-7:00 p.m. and will close on Sunday, August 5 with a noon potluck lunch. Sunday Liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m.

The cost of the camp for adults who will be staying in the dorm is $52; 3-10 years old, $45; campers, $40 per family unit. To register contact David Moldan, (507) 752-7588.

See you at camp!
