Seminary
tour planned, youth/parents invited
On Sunday, February
4, 2007, the New Ulm Diocesan Office of Vocations will be offering
a unique opportunity - a seminary tour specially for
the Diocese of New Ulm. Young men (sophomores, juniors, seniors) and their
parents are invited to tour Saint John Vianney
College Seminary in St. Paul, MN.
Saint John Vianney College
Seminary is located on the campus of the University
of Saint Thomas, near the banks of
the Mississippi River in St. Paul.
This special seminary tour will begin at 1:30 p.m., with a meal along the way. Fr.
William Baer, rector of the seminary, along with seminarians of the Diocese of
New Ulm, as well as other seminarians, will offer tours of the seminary
building and the Campus of St. Thomas.
Bishop John C. Nienstedt will offer Mass for all in
attendance at 3:30 p.m. followed by
a supper.
Departure for home will be around 5:00 p.m. with the hope to be home by half-time of the
Super Bowl!
Bus transportation will be provided, with several pick-up
and drop-off sites to be planned. One confirmed pick-up location will be at the
Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm at about 10:30 a.m.
