Charismatic Renewal Day February 12 in New Ulm

Fr. Tom Forrest, a Redemptorist priest, will be the main speaker at the New Ulm Diocesan Charismatic Renewal Day on February 12, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s parish in New Ulm. The title of his talk is The Person of Jesus in the Eucharist. 

 

Fr. Forrest was ordained in 1954. Since his ordination he has worked among the very poor of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and parts of Latin America. He has served as director of the International Office and International Council for Catholic Charismatic Renewal. During this time he lived in Brussels and Rome. He has met and spoke with Pope John Paul II many times, and on eight different occasions was invited to meals with the Holy Father.

Fr. Forrest established the Association of Coordinators of Catholic Schools of Evangelization and to date has more than 200 schools in the association.

 

He organized the first Worldwide Retreat for Priests entitled A Call to Holiness. It was attended by priests from 100 different countries. Since then more than 11,000 priests have attended retreats offered by Fr. Tom Forrest.

 

The cost for the Renewal Day is $10 and will include Eucharistic Adoration, Mass, confession, prayers for healing, and lunch. Everyone is welcome to attend.
