Bishop John C. Nienstedt recently received a letter from Archbishop Leonard Sandri of the Vatican Secretariat of State who wrote on behalf of Pope John Paul II.

"The Holy Father has asked me to acknowledge the many messages of good wishes which you sent to him on behalf of the children and young people of the Diocese of New Ulm for the Twenty-fifth Anniversary of the Inauguration of his Pontificate. He appreciates the sentiments expressed.

His Holiness is most grateful for the prayers offered for his ministry as the Successor of Peter and he cordially imparts to the young people of your diocese his Apostolic Blessings as a pledge of grace and

peace in our Lord Jesus Christ."
