The New Ulm Diocesan Council of Catholic Woman of the Year Award will be presented again this year at the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Convention in Clara City on April 27, 2002.
Do you know a woman in your parish that has carried on the mission of Christ in her family, in her church, in her community, and in her involvement with the Council of Catholic Women? If so, please recommend her for the 2002 Council of Catholic Woman of the Year Award.
To qualify she must be 18 years or older, Catholic and registered in a New Ulm diocese parish, a member of a paid affiliate of the NUDCCW, and has not won the award in the past. A past nominee may be submitted as long as that person has not been a recipient of the award. The recommendation must be made by three or more members of a paid affiliate of the New Ulm Council of Catholic Women in order to submit the name of a woman for this honor. A parish may submit more than one name. Nominees will be judged on how she has carried on the mission of Christ in her family, church, community and CCW. Your research into the woman you recommend is important and should include good works, leadership, activities, specific projects or programs chaired or participated in, and the number of years involved. We request that all recommendations submitted be kept confidential.
Recommendation forms for 2002 and rules can be obtained from your parish CCW president. The deadline for recommendation is February 1, 2002 and must be mailed to: Geri Weber, NUDCCW Vice President, 34664 Jessenland Road, Henderson, MN 56044.
