NUDCCW issues statement on terrorism

As a result of discussion at the November 17, 2001 New Ulm Council of Catholic Women Board of Directors meeting, members issued the following statement.

The United States of America has experienced acts of aggression resulting in loss of precious human life. Our military men and women of the United States of America, along with our allies, will be involved in clearing the world of terrorism and educating all people in the benefits of peace.

The Council of Catholic Women are urged to bring to prayer the President of the United States of America, our men and women in the armed forces, law enforcement, firefighters and all volunteers. We also urge the Council of Catholic Women to support and express our sorrow to those who are grieving the loss of a family member, friend, or are trying to deal with the loss of feeling secure in the wake of these terrible acts of aggression.

We will continue to pray for the restoration of world peace.
