by Joyce Thomsen

Do you know a woman in your parish who in your opinion has been an outstanding member of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW)? Why not nominate her for the DCCW Woman of the Year Award?

Nominee recommendation forms and rules are available through your parish CCW president.

The award will be presented at the annual New Ulm DCCW Convention on April 28, 2007 at Holy Redeemer in Marshall, MN.

Nominees will be judged on family commitment; participation in church activities, committees, and needs; involvement in community activities, committees, and needs; commitment and activity in the CCW on all levels; and years of active service in the CCW. The recipient will be a woman who has carried on the mission of Christ through her family, church, community, and the CCW.

Nominations must be presented on the official recommendation form to be eligible.

Joyce Thomsen is from Tyler and is the Council of Catholic Women’s Vice President.
