Wills
- a part of your legacy to the next generation
by Wayne Pelzel
Those professionals dealing
with families where a will has not been written know the pain and turmoil that
a family can go through when there is no will. A will can bring you peace
of mind knowing that your wishes have been carried out and advance what has
been important to you in your life.
If you
don’t do a will…..
· The state will
distribute your estate according to existing law.
· Your loved ones will
go through an unnecessary and complicated legal process.
· Your church will be
denied any stewardship gift wishes you may have had.
If you do a
will……
· You
decide how your assets are distributed.
· You
provide for your loved ones as you intended.
· You support your
parish, school, diocese or other charity as you wished.
After your loved ones are
taken care of in your will as you intended, your remaining estate can become
the opportunity to create a legacy in your name. The church has so many needy
causes. A gift from your estate to your parish, school or diocese can truly
make a difference. This bequest in your will leaves behind a lasting
memory of your time on earth and your priorities…..a part of your legacy to the
next generation.
Wills do not need to be
complicated and they are not that expensive.
Make a difference! Do a will!
