Recently, the Church of the
Holy Trinity in
The N.E.T. team is comprised
of young adults who give a year of their life to travel around the country
offering retreats to over 70,000 youth in the
Through these retreats they
challenge teens to examine their faith, to grow in their relationship with
Christ and to embrace the life of the church. These N.E.T. retreats are
high-energy experiences that use large group presentations, small group
discussions, music, drama, personal faith sharing and
one-on-one prayer to convey their messages to the teens. The N.E.T. team had been in the
The retreat theme for the day
was "Why Faith?" The retreat
addressed four common reasons that many young people don't seem interested in
their Catholic faith. The N.E.T. team members shared stories of their own faith
journeys and ways of how to make faith interesting, even for teenagers. HT students were challenged to look at their
lives and their faith in a different way and were encouraged to begin living
their Catholic faith to the fullest.
The retreat was very
interactive and included outdoor activities, skits by the N.E.T. team, music,
quiet prayer time and small group sharing.
