Seminarian Keith Salisbury recently installed into the ministry of Lector
Weston, MA - On Monday December 8, 2003, Keith Salisbury, a seminarian of the Diocese of New Ulm and a student at Blessed John XXIII National Seminary in Weston, MA, was installed into the ministry of Lector (Reader). The Most Reverend William E. Lori, Bishop of Bridgeport, CT, presided over the installation of 11 seminarians into the ministry of Lector. A lector proclaims the word at Mass doing the readings before the Gospel.
Keith is from Sleepy Eye, MN after spending over 30 years in Gaylord, MN. His home parish is the Church of St. Michael, Gaylord and he is currently in Theology 2 at Blessed John XXIII National Seminary in Weston, MA.
Blessed John XXIII is a national seminary accepting men from all over the United States and foreign countries. In 1964 the Seminary was established for the formation of men answering the call to priesthood at a later time with ages ranging from 30 to 60 years old. The men come from various backgrounds including law, teaching, the military, and business.
