Deadline to apply for DCCW scholarships is March 15

The New Ulm Diocesan Council of Catholic Woman (NUDCCW) Scholarship program provides opportunities to empower and educate CCW members in spirituality, leadership and service. Visit www.nudccw.org and look for Commissions and Committees and then NUDCCW scholarship.

Scholarships of up to $200 are available to individuals providing leadership in CCW activities, teaching in parish Catholic schools or religious education programs. It is available to individuals ministering within their parish in music, administration, youth ministry and in a wide range of social concern activities. Scholarships are available to women, men and youth of the parish to support and enrich their faith.

The CCW scholarship is financially supported solely by parishes in the dioceses. This past year 250 scholarships were granted for a total of $21,635. Due to limited funds, scholarships are awarded only to individuals of parishes that voluntary participate with donations to the CCW Diocesan Scholarship Program.

All applications are to be mailed to Linda Roehrl, NUDCCW diocesan scholarship coordinator, 701 East Walnut St., Redwood Falls, MN 56283. Applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2004. Applications postmarked after this date will not be accepted.
